1st Night of Chanukah

We commemorate the Chanukah story each year during the 8-day festival of Chanukah. This festival celebrates the victory of the Maccabees, the Jewish freedom fighters, who routed the Syrian-Greeks from the Holy Land and restored the Temple service. The culmination of the miracle was when a small bottle of pure oil—enough to fuel the Temple menorah for one day—burned for 8 days straight.

This year, December 14, 2025, on the first night of Chanukah, we begin this festival with the blessings and lighting the first candle together with our congregation family. Play games or watch a Chanukah movie, FUN! Chanukah desserts.
