Passover
April 12 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Passover (Pesach) is a deeply significant festival for Messianic Jews, commemorating both the ancient redemption of Israel from slavery in Egypt and the greater spiritual redemption found in Yeshua, the Messiah. The holiday, observed on the 14th of Nisan, recalls how God delivered the Israelites through the blood of the Passover lamb, sparing their firstborn from judgment (Exodus 12). This foreshadows the ultimate Passover Lamb—Yeshua—who gave His life as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. For Messianic believers, Passover is not only a remembrance of the Exodus but also a celebration of the freedom and new life found in Messiah, who was crucified during this appointed time, fulfilling the prophetic meaning of the feast.
Messianic Passover Seders incorporate traditional elements such as matzah (unleavened bread), maror (bitter herbs), and the four cups of wine, but with an emphasis on their fulfillment in Yeshua. The broken matzah, known as the afikomen, symbolizes His body, which was broken for us, and the third cup, the Cup of Redemption, reflects His blood of the New Covenant. The seder highlights God’s faithfulness and His plan of salvation, uniting Jewish tradition with the fulfillment found in Messiah. As believers in Yeshua, Messianic Jews see Passover not only as a historical remembrance but also as an ongoing prophetic picture of His return, when He will gather His people and establish His Kingdom in fullness.
